Portrait Painting
These are two of my cousins. I've wanted to do a formal portrait painting of them for awhile now, partly as a gift for their family, but also to test myself, as professional portraiture is something I would love to get more into. The painting is 30x36", oil on linen canvas.I uploaded a photo of the real girls in context with the painting, so everyone can see my mistakes.

Beautiful work!! I love the skin colors, the brushstrokes...the little one at the back is gorgeous, the one in first term too (I love the detail in her face), but the young one pose makes a nice composition. cool! I bet your family is very pleased with this! :D

Rawls - It took about 30 hours of painting to finish.
Manoj - You're right. I think my painting does add a bit of age to her. I can't seem to pinpoint the cause either...probably a mix of many small things. I can't say I'm happy about that...and I wish I could go back in time and fix it. Oh well, at least she can grow into the painting :)

Good job Marco painting oil portrait is not for every artist and seem to be handling pretty well my friend one cannot judge the likeness since the kids poses aren't like the painting.

Crticism is very easy thing in the world, sorry I spoil your 30 hours with my few words. I think hair on her forehead, eye bags and chin(little bit more strech) will make the diffrence. You are a great and humble artist and I am follower of your coloring style. Sorry again.
