New Studio Space = New Painting!

Finally got my own painting space! It's just a room in my basement...but it's devoid of computers, phones, and televisions. In short, I love working down there. Here's the first painting to come out of it. It's part 2 in my series of weird chefs. The walls were painted blue before I moved my stuff in, and interestingly enough, it inspired the palette for this painting. Oil on board.
And above that is a shot of me "at work" (I'm really just posing). These photos were taken by my awesome photographer friend, Alyssa Bistonath.

I love the character. I respect artists that use real paint. I do not use real paint. (don't tell)

Many congrats on the new studio space! It's always refreshing to unplug from the digital world for a moment. This first chef painting is fantastic! Love the softness and classic painting style. I look forward to your second half of the series.

Cool blue paint in your studio. I like the size of your painting too. Its hard to tell how large paintings are with out something to compare it to.

That turned out great! I'll bet it's nice to have a real painting after all that work, not just pixels on a computer:)

This is a great painting Marco! You are really getting good! I didn't know you were in skydome too. Which company do you work for? To answer you question, this comic book is for a French Magazine so it's going to be hard to get it here, but I can definetly send it to you later by email!
Peace,

Seb

Nice character, love the hands and the size relationship between his nose and the wine glass especially when I imagine him performing a snobbish wine tasting.
