Quick Life Paintings

I've been taking my tablet PC to life drawing sessions lately. Lots of fun. These were a couple of 15 minute poses from tonight. Still learning how to keep my brushwork a little cleaner...looseness is good, but I don't want things to look rushed.

Oh wow, how lovely! 15 minutes. I'd be lucky to turn out a face in 15 minutes, all shaded like that.

Very interesting technique. How do you work? DO you have a wacom and laptop? Great paintings!

Taking a laptop to figure drawing is a completely new thought to me. What an interesting approach. I think you are on to something very interesting!

these are sweet marco!! i always think about doing this.. but unfortunately I do not have a laptop.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Shawn - I actually have a tablet PC, which is just like a Cintiq, except in laptop form. You draw on the screen itself. You can certainly do the same thing with a regular laptop and a wacom tablet, though.
Druie - yup, TSA! I go Thursday nights, from 7-10. Best night of the week for me.

You're very talented dude. I like the exaggerated faces, a bit expressionistic. Of course I have no idea what I'm talking about except that I like it.

Keep 'em coming.

It probably sounds like a gross
understatement but:

you have a "great knack for painting"
and color...and a nice sense for form
thanks for saying hello on my blog.
